Ferry tickets can be booked up to 24 hours in advance of travel.
Taste of Islay tickets and Whisky tour add-on tickets must be booked 48 in advance.
On completion of booking you will receive an e-ticket/email confirmation which you should print and show to our skipper on boarding, you will also be required to show photo ID.
Please note that child fares are not available for ferry tickets but discounts may be arranged for children under 2 years subject to availability on travel dates. This must be arranged and confirmed with our office before booking is finalised otherwise seats are not guaranteed. Please contact us on 01586 555 895 for further information.
Tickets are valid for date of travel only and are not transferable unless by prior arrangement.
Please note that our passenger ferry services will operate with a minimum of four booked passengers.
*As Kintyre Express issues service updates via text message it is essential to ensure a mobile number is supplied when booking - this number will be used for updates concerning your booked journey only.
To book your private charter for up to 12 passengers, please phone or email us with your requirements and we will confirm your booking by email. Bookings for up to 36 passengers will be accepted subject to availability. We will request a small deposit to secure your booking and all charters must be paid in full prior to your date of travel. Please note that private charters cannot be booked through our online booking system.
In the event that any sailing is cancelled due to weather or technical problems, all monies recieved will be refunded in full if we cannot arrange a suitable alternative travel date. This applies to ferry services and private charters. If for any reason, you need to cancel your booking, please give as much notice as possible and at least 48 hours for ferry services, 7 days for private charters. Kintyre Express boats are Redbay Stormforce 11 metre rigid inflatable boats (RIB's), with centrally heated fully enclosed cabins. Our vessels are coded to the M.C.A. required standards and crewed by fully qualified, experienced skippers.
All crew members hold the required qualifications to operate our boats and undertake regular training to maintain their skills.
Lifejackets are worn at all times. These are lightweight self-inflating jackets and are comfortable to wear.
A safety talk and lifejacket demonstration will be given before every departure.
We reserve the right to refuse boarding to anyone deemed unfit by the skipper. We do not permit the consumption of alcohol aboard our boats and smoking is not permitted at any time.
Full third party insurance is provided for all passengers.
Personal effects are carried at own risk.
You must inform the Skipper of any medical conditions before departure.
